Upward Sports

It's almost time for another season of Upward Sports!

Upward provides a fun, family-friendly environment for your child to learn the fundamentals of Basketball or Volleyball. Any boys at least 5 years old and in Kindergarten - 6^th grade or girls at least 5 years and in kindergarten - 2nd grade are welcome to participate in this years Basketball season. Basketball will be on Saturdays starting in January. Any girls 3rd - 6th grade are welcome to participate in volleyball. Volleyball will be on Tuesday nights starting in January. Here at First Light, Upward is an opportunity for children to hear the saving message of the gospel, all while learning the fundamentals of basketball or volleyball in a safe, family friendly environment. But Upward is more than just a sports program. Upward is an outreach opportunity that we get to take part in. Each year, countless families come through those doors, many of which have never had a relationship with Jesus. We don’t take that lightly. Upward has a massive impact on those that take part. Kids' lives are forever changed by God’s Word, and through the impact of coaches investing in their lives each season. So we want you to be involved. Whether it’s signing up your kids to play on a team, or volunteering as a coach or referee, serving in the cafe, signing up your small group for cleanup, there’s a place for you to plug in.

We want to be people caring for people. This season, the people will come to us. The question is, how will we care for them?
